Corduroy Jeans

Among the more faddish fabrics, corduroy is made up of twisted fibers forming a distinct cord-like pattern in the finished cloth. Most corduroy made today has an alternating pattern – a tufted cord and a bare channel – that creates a velvety ridged effect in the fabric. As material goes, corduroy is considered quite durable, which is why it is popular for making trousers. Most of the leading jeans designers craft a few styles using corduroy rather than denim.
